Aged Care Services
Georgina Margaret Davidson-Thompson Hostel, commonly known as Georgina Hostel and Aged Care Facility, is owned and managed by Winnam Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders Corporation.
Georgina Hostel and Aged Care is funded by the Department of Health and Aging and funded under the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Flexible Aged Care Program (NATSIFACP).
Georgina Hostel and Aged Care Facility offers a culturally safe and culturally appropriate home-like environment for our First Nations Elders with our qualified and friendly clinical and support staff.
As a smaller 24-bed facility, Georgina Hostel and Aged Care can offer a more intimate setting with staff and residents forming close relationships.
The following services are provided:
- 24/7 nursing care by dedicated and qualified clinical staff who can cater to our Elders needs and various levels of care.
- Respite care for those Elders that are not fully ready to move into full-time residential care.
- GP and Allied Health services provided on-site.
- Dietitian approved meals prepared on-site (breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and supper).
- Weekly social outings.
