Housing Programs
PART 5 – HOUSING – TENANCY MANAGEMENT Winnam Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders Corporation provides affordable, long-term and emergency housing for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Winnam owns and manages six (6) commercial shops.
Winnam owns and manages thirty (30) residential properties.
Winnam also manages twelve (12) residential properties through the Department of Housing, Local Government and Public Works.
Winnam also manages three (3) residential properties through Brisbane City Council.
Winnam provides a variety of housing needs by managing three (3) housing programs:
1. Affordable Housing – Winnam owned and managed, 74.9% of the current rental market value.
2. Long-Term Housing – Department of Housing, Local Government and Public Works.
3. Emergency Housing – Brisbane City Council Community Housing Partnership Project.
All residential properties are predominantly located between Wynnum, Wynnum West, Lota, Manly, Manly West, Hemmant, Belmont, Rochedale, Tingalpa, Red Hill, Alexanda Hills, Capalaba and Wellington Point.
Winnam does not provide crisis accommodation.
