Shellee Wilkinson
General Manager
Shellee is the General Manager here at Winnam Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Corporation and commenced in October 2021. She is responsible for managing and leading the day-to-day operations of Winnam including the areas of affordable community, long-term and emergency housing services, development of commercial real estate holdings, community development and engagement activities, and events, as well as the direct management of Georgina Hostel and Aged Care Facility.
Shellee Wilkinson is a proud Kabi Kabi woman and was born and raised in Brisbane. Shellee has been with Winnam for the past four years, originally starting as the Facility Manager at Georgina Hostel and Aged Care Facility back in 2018 prior to her current role.
Shellee holds a Bachelor of Business majoring in Sport and Leisure Management from Griffith University and a Diploma in Community Services and has worked across multiple industries over the years in operational, managerial and community development roles, working with organisations such as: Police-Citizens Youth Welfare Association – State Office under the Indigenous Community Sport and Recreation Program, ATSICHS, and the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Corporation.
Shellee is passionate about providing and utilising her skills and experience by supporting and strengthening partnerships, engaging, and building capacity with Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander individuals, families, and communities.
Charlie Broadwater
Housing Officer
As a Kulu-Yalanji man growing up in an Aboriginal family, Charlie understands of social justice principles which has historically led to social disadvantage experienced by First Nations people.
Throughout his professional career, Charlie has been in many positions such as Plumber and Drainer, Lecturer, Policy Writer to Lawyer. Charlie has been committed to the promotion of an equitable system within the wider community advocating for positive outcomes in employment, education, affordable housing, and the judicial system for First Nations people.
As the Housing and Tenancy Officer here at Winnam, Charlie brings the same motivation and commitment in delivering an open-door policy in providing affordable and long-term housing for the Bayside Murri and Islander peoples.
